David is an expert in leadership process and developing leader effectiveness, especially as it relates to accelerating business transformation. For fifteen years he has helped executive clients articulate and execute strategy, shift organizational culture and improve company performance. He partners with and coaches leadership teams as they build capacity and capability within their organizations.

David has managed or led many of Maxcomm’s largest client engagements since he joined the firm in the mid-1990s. His clients have included: Kaiser Permanente, DTE Energy, Carlson Companies, Kemper Insurance, Commonwealth Edison, Gateway 2000, AT&T Capital, First Security Information Technology, GOJO Industries, Ameritech, Unico Properties, Regent Seven Seas Cruises and Yale University.

David’s specific areas of expertise include establishing strategic focus and organizing key resources; establishing metrics, tracking and accountability for improvement; and designing and leading organizational transformation. David has helped companies facilitate leadership team meetings and employee conferences and has coached numerous executives to help them improve their level of effectiveness, especially when applied to transforming their organizations. David is especially gifted at aligning and coordinating concurrent efforts and resources and building execution capability within organizations.

One of the signature aspects of David’s work is his ability to effectively leverage the skills and talents of leaders and contributors, both within and outside of the organization. He excels at bringing together and aligning the efforts of all involved parties, including external advisors and consultants who might otherwise be working in parallel.

Prior to joining Maxcomm, David served as a third-party program evaluator, designing and conducting multi-method evaluations featuring both quantitative and qualitative measures. He holds a master’s degree in psychology.

When not working with leaders in the business world, David spends his time at home or traveling with his wife, Julie, and their children. Raised in a national park, he loves the outdoors and appreciates living in the mountains of the West. He enjoys running, hiking, basketball and golf, but nothing quite as much as a game of backyard football with his kids.
